Yakima Q Towers

The Yakima Q Towers is a set of four attachments to mount a roof rack crossbar system on a naked roof vehicle. The "Q" in Yakima Q Tower stands for Quadruple Movement, meaning the tower and clip move in four different ways to create a very customized fit on to your vehicle's naked rooftop. Combine Yakima Q Towers with Yakima RoundBars and vehicle-specific Yakima Q Clips to convert your vehicle into a gear hauling machine.

Customized vehicle fit using Q Clips

Yakima Q Clips include vehicle-specific steel clips (with a vinyl protective sticker) and rubber pads to create a customized fit to your naked roof. Hundreds of Q Clips have been developed to allow the Q Towers to grip your vehicle in exactly the right spot. Many lengths of bar available

Add a set of Yakima RoundBars (sold separately) in many different lengths to carry whatever you need. The Yakima Fit Guide will list a minimum suggested bar size for your vehicle, but the Q Tower allows you to use whatever bar length you would like.

Easy installation and removal

During the first installation on to your vehicle, the Q Towers will get tensioned into place on the crossbar in a spot that's specific to your vehicle. Removal and re-installation of the Q Tower is extremely easy after the initial setup. Cam covers on each Q Tower are used to tension the Q Clips against the inside of your vehicle's door frame.

Lockable

The Yakima Q Towers can be locked to your vehicle by purchasing a 4 pack of Yakima SKS locks separately. The locks get installed into Q Tower's cam cover, preventing someone from removing the rack from your vehicle using its quick release feature. This lets you lock bikes or cargo boxes to your bars for a complete security system.
