The Swagman 65145 Exo Aero Kayak Carrier is a roof mounted carrier giving you the ability to carry one boat. The Swagman Exo Aero is designed to carry your kayak on the flat and utilizes flexible molded cradles in order to allow them to conform and provide a secure hold onto your kayaks. The Exo cradles are designed to flexible allowing for the cradle to achieve maximum contact on your kayak. The cradles are also covered in a rubber padding which is designed to better protect the kayak when sliding it onto the racks.
The Swagman Exo Aero is unique in the fact that it mounts in the center of the saddle; this gives you the ability to offset the cradle to one side of your vehicle making it easier for you to attach other accessories such as a bike rack. In many situations you can use two Exo Aero kayak carriers on the roof without needing to purchase longer crossbars. Often when carrying two kayaks on the flat you need to purchase wider cross.
In order to make the Swagman Exo Aero easier to use it has been outfitted with universal hardware, giving you the ability to mount it onto either your factory rack or an after market cross bar system. Lastly in order to make sure you have everything you need included with the Exo Aero it comes with cam buckle straps to tie your kayak down side to side along with bow and stern straps to tie your boat down front to back. The cradles have an integrated slot that you can run the cam buckles through making it quicker and easier to tie down your kayak.
