Swagman 64706 Spire 15 and 20mm Fork Mount Bike Adapter

The Swagman 64706 Spire is a 15 and 20mm thru-axle bike adapter. The Spire allows you to fit bikes with either 15mm or 20mm thru axles onto a bike rack that only accepts 9mm drop outs. Two sets of screw in adapters are included to fit both 15 and 20mm thru axles. Additional adapters available for bikes with a 15x110mm thru axle or 12x100mm thru axle.

The best method for attaching your bike using the Spire is to first attach the Spire onto your bike rack. Once the Spire has been attached onto your rack with the correct set screws in place for your size of axle you are ready to load your bike. Simply lift the bike onto the rack, align your front fork with the Spire, slide your Axle through the adapter, and tighten it in place as you would normally secure your front tire. The last step is to secure your back tire in place using the rear wheel strap from your current bike rack.

The Spire is made of aluminum as a method to prevent rust from occurring, while also giving the rack a clean looking smooth finish. The aluminum design doesn't take anything away from the strength of the bike rack as it will support bikes up to 45 pounds.
