RockyMounts MonoRail Solo - 1 Bike Rack - Fits 1.25" and 2" Hitches

The RockyMounts MonoRail Solo is a single bike platform rack that is designed to be light weight and compact coming in at only 25 lbs. The MonoRail Solo holds your bike in place using a ratcheting arm that clamps onto your front wheel and a strap that runs through the rear wheel. Nearly any bicycle is compatible, including wheel sizes from 20" to 29" and fat tires in widths up to 5" with 197mm rear axle spacing (including the enormous Rockshox Bluto forks).

Included in the box is both 1.25" and 2" components, so it will work with either hitch receiver size, as well as our anti-wobble locking hitch bolt to keep the rack both tight and secure. If you do need to carry a second bike down the road, the MonoRail Add-on can be installed by removing the end cap and attaching with two bolts. It is simple to go back and forth between 1 and 2 bike configurations.

Carries nearly any bicycle with no frame contact

The MonoRail Solo is a modern rack built with modern bike geometry in mind. Wheel sizes from 20" to 29" fit into the rack, whether you are hauling road bikes, mountain bikes, kids bikes, or fat bikes. Fat tire widths up to 5" with 197mm rear axle spacing will work. Keep in mind that the front wheel ratcheting arm must clamp against the rubber of the front wheel, so front fenders, racks, and panniers will need to be removed first.

Folding with rear handle

Unlike competing racks, the MonoRail Solo has its folding handle located at the end of the rack for ease of use. No need to reach through your bikes frame to fold the rack down. The rack is able to fold down away from the vehicle's rear hatch with your bike loaded. When you're all done, the rack folds up vertically against the rear of the vehicle for storage.

Fully locking out of the box

RockyMounts includes a braided steel cable lock with the MonoRail Solo. This cable loops through your bikes frame, and then locks onto the rack with the included hitch lock.It can be bolted back to the pin that goes through the hitch receiver or more commonly can be locked to the secondary locking pin that is just behind your bike.

Carries 1 bike, expandable to 2

In the event that you need to bring a second person with you the Monorail Solo can be expanded to carry two bikes using the MonoRail Add-on. The MonoRail Add-On can be installed and removed after the fact if you only need to carry the second bike occasionally.
