Thule 598004 ProRide XT Upright Bike Rack

The Thule 598004 ProRide XT upright frame mount bike carrier is one of the quickest and most convenient roof bike mounts for bikes up to 45 pounds. The Thule ProRide XT features a quick and easy bike attachment system with a built in torque limiter to protect all types of bike frames.

Carries fat bikes with an adapter

Out of the box, the ProRide XT carries conventional road and mountain bikes up to 3 inch wide tires. Add a Thule 598101 ProRide XT Fat Bike Adapter (sold separately) to carry a fat bike up with tires up to 5 inches wide.

Automatically positions your bike

The Thule ProRide XT automatically positions your bike when you secure it using the uniquely designed frame holder and wheel tray.

Safe mounting of your bike

The lower extended claw of the lower jaw and the inside position of the arm prevent your bike from tipping over onto your car or out of the rack when loading and unloading your bike.

Controlled force onto the bikes frame

The ProRide XT features a torque limiter dial that controls the force going to the bike frame. The soft claws pads adapt to your bike's frame tube to minimize the risk of frame damage.

Fully lockable

The 598004 requires two Thule One Key lock cylinders (sold separately) for full security. One lock core goes into the release mechanism of the frame mounted arm, locking the bike into the rack when engaged. The second lock core goes into the mounting hardware preventing removal of the rack from the crossbars.
