Riot Escape 12 Sit on Top Kayak with Rudder - Sky

The Riot Escape 12 Sky with Rudder is a super stable and agile kayak with it's flared out bow and tons of rocker. It is rough water capable in a pinch but a real delight on calm waters and slow moving creeks.

The Escape 12 is equipped with the Pilot rudder system, stern deck bungee storage, one cup holder & one molded in water bottle holder, two paddle holders, two 4" deck plates which are perfect for a small camera or snack. The comfortable Flex Seats come standard and provide a comfortable high back seat that let you customize your position with four attachment points mounted on independently adjustable straps, this allows you to adjust to perfection in just a minute and the seat stays put.

The retractable Pilot Rudder helps prevent weathercocking when crossing open water with wind, waves and current. The rudder blade can help keep the kayak track straight but can also help with turning the boat by pushing on the foot pedals in the direction you would like to paddle. A rudder is great for longer multi day trips on open water where the paddler will be spend a large portion of the day on the water; the paddler won’t have to continually fight wind, waves and current to maintain a desired course using correcting strokes which is really energy draining especially on a multi day trip.

The Escape 12 is ideal for splashing around at the lake or enjoying a leisure sunset paddle at the end of the work day. It's a kayak that's easy to load, transport and store. Most sit-on-top kayaks are considered recreational kayaks because they're built wide and ultra stable. Novice or intermediate paddlers will enjoy the sportiveness design of the Escape series SOT's. Paddlers with mobility issues will find sit-on-top kayaks easier to get on and off of when compared to a traditional sit inside kayaks.
