Thule 993005 OutWay Platform 2 Bike is the top of the line in trunk mounted bike racks. The OutWay Platform is unlike most other trunk and hatch bike racks as the platform design allows you to carry your bikes with the tires supported preventing them from moving back and forth as you're driving.

Functional design

The OutWay Platform utilizes an improved design over other platform style racks that still allows your license plate and rear lights to be visible. This is done by raising the platform so your bikes sit up higher on the rear of your vehicle.

Fits wide range of vehicles

The OutWay is designed to fit a wide range of vehicles including those with a spoiler. The OutWay uses an adjustable design that gives it the flexibility to fit most sedans, station wagons, CUVs, and SUVs.

Locking

The Thule OutWay Platform uses AcuTight clamps that feature a torque limiter knob allowing you to apply the appropriate amount of tension onto the frame of your bike and then lock it in place. To secure the bike rack to your vehicle the OutWay features a twin rubber coated steel hook that attaches onto steel cables that are coated in rubber, these clips are then tightened up using a Thule AcuTight knob as well, this will click when the appropriate amount of tension is reached. Once the AcuTight Knob has clicked you can then lock the knob to prevent someone from being able to loosen the rack off of your vehicle.
