Arvika Bike Racks carry bikes on RVs & 5th wheels
Arvika is a Canadian manufacturer of high quality travel trailer, fifth wheel, and hitch-mounted bike racks. Their unique rack systems allow you to tow a travel trailer or fifth wheel and still carry two to four bicycles. We recently installed an Arvika 2 Bike Attachment and an Arvika Travel Trailer Bracket on to the A-frame of a travel trailer.
When attaching the travel trailer bracket to your trailer, your A-frame must have sufficient free space to allow the foot of the rack to bolt around the frame as shown below. Note that batteries, propane tanks, equalizer bars, and safety chains can all get in the way of the mounting brackets. You must examine your A-frame to ensure there is sufficient space for the rack to mount. While the rack is designed for a universal fit, individual trailers might not work because of space limitations.
The upright arms of the bracket (shown above at right) swivel to allow the bikes to sit above the trailer’s propane tanks, with the upright arms needing 24 inches from bar to bar to meet the mounts on the bike rack. The 2, 3, or 4 bike attachment mounts to the upright arms.
Bicycles sit into individual trays and get held in place with locking frame clamps and wheel straps. In the two bike and three bike models, all the bike trays sit level, extending forward from the upright arms. The Arvika 4 Bike Attachment places the fourth bike behind the upright arms on a raised wheel tray to accommodate the curvature of most trailers.
The three bike and four bike models require the use of the Telescoping Support Arm (sold separately). The arm clamps on to the travel trailer’s jack or on to the fifth wheel to give support to the end of the rack.

For fifth wheel trailers, the Arvika Fifth Wheel Bracket and Fifth Wheel XL Bracket allow the bike rack to attach to the king pin or gooseneck of the fifth wheel. The bike rack would then sit in front of the cabin of the trailer and above the cab of the truck.
For Tab brand travel trailers, use the Arvika Tab Travel Trailer Bracket in combination with the bike rack (requires drilling into the A-frame). For Airstream brand travel trailers, use the Arvika Airstream Travel Trailer Bracket.
When you need to carry bikes without your RV, Arvika makes hitch brackets in several sizes to go directly into your passenger vehicle (not into the rear of an RV):
- 1.25” Hitch Bracket for use with the 2 bike attachment
- 2” Hitch Bracket for use with the 2, 3, or 4 bike attachment
- 2” Swivel Hitch Bracket for use with the 2, 3, or 4 bike attachment, to allow access to the vehicle’s back hatch while swiveling the rack away from the vehicle with bikes remaining in the rack
