Spring is just around the corner and with the dwindling snowbanks and warmer weather we are all getting excited for the spring and summer seasons. This spring is also an exciting time for Yakima Products as they debut some brand spankin' new accessories from their sleeker side, Whispbar. A couple of years ago Yakima aquired, Hubco Automotive, the New Zealand based manufacturer of Whispbar "the world's quietest vehicle racks." To start Yakima released the 4 types of Whispbar Roof Rack Systems available: Whispbar Through Bar, Whispbar Flush Bar, Whispbar Rail Bar, and Whispbar HD Bars. New Whispbar Kayak Carriers
Arriving soon are the brand new Whispbar Kayak Rack Systems that combine elegant styling with features that will making loading and unloading your kayak as easy as ever! There are two models coming out the Whispbar WB401 Saddle Kayak Carrier, which carries your kayak on the flat with the bottom of the boat resting on the saddles just like it rests in the water, and the Whispbar WB400 J-Style Kayak Carrier, which carriers your kayak up on its side. Whispbar WB401 Saddle Kayak Carrier
The WB401 is a flat mount saddle style kayak carrier that cradles your boat with the hull of the kayak resting on the saddles. This brand new kayak rack features integrated rollers to assist you in loading and unloading your boat from the rear of your vehicle. The sides of the Saddles are adjustable so that you can set the angle of the saddle to match the contour of your boat. This also makes it easier if you wish to load the boat from the side as you wont have to lift the boat over the saddle. When not in use the WB 401 folds flat to reduce wind drag. After all we did say Whispbar makes the "Quietest Racks on Earth" and less drag results in less noise!
This kayak carrier was designed for use with the Whispbar Roof Rack systems and uses Quick Dock Technology making it extremely easy to install and remove the saddles from your Whispbar Roof Rack in a heartbeat. Also included are mounts to allow you to use the kayak carrier on Yakima Roundbars or Thule Square Bars. SKS lock cores are also included with the Kayak Saddles to secure the carrier on to the bars. Whispbar WB400 J-Style Kayak Carrier
The WB400 is a j-style kayak carrier that carries your boat up on edge. This kayak carrier is full of features that no other kayak carrier on earth has! In the past you could add load assist accessories to help you load your kayaks but not with the Whispbar WB 400 which has an integrated slide out tray included! SKS lock cores are also included to secure your kayak carriers down to your bars.The best part, as you can see in the picture, the WB400 J-Style Kayak Carrier can pack all those features neatly away when not in use.
Just like the WB401 the WB400 also uses Quick Dock Technology to mount the Whispbar Crossbar systems with ease! No more fiddling around with bulky hardware and wing nuts! Included with the kayak carrier are mounts to fit Yakima Roundbars or Thule Square Bars.

Also being released this spring is the brand new Whispbar WB200 Fork Mount Bike Carrier which is the sleekest looking bike rack ever to come on to the market. Don't let its looks fool you though, its also packed with features and built to last!
Whispbar WB200 Fork Mount Bike Carrier
The WB200 is a fork mounted roof bike carrier designed by Whispbar. Not only is this bike carrier the sleekest fork mount bike rack on the market it also has many unique features to set it apart from other fork mounts. The WB 200 fits both 9 mm forks and 15 mm forks with the push of button elimintaing the need for adapters. This is especially beneficial if you switch between a road bike and a mountain bike as 15 mm forks on mountain bikes are increasingly popular. The WB200 Fork Mount is designed to mount to Whispbar Roof Racks using Quick Dock Technology for fast and easy installation and removal. Also included are mounts to fit Yakima Roundbars or Thule Squarebars. The Whispbar WB200 also includes SKS Lock Cores so that you can secure your bike and the bike rack down to your crossbar system.
