Introducing the Yakima SkyRise Roof Top Tent

Yakima is moving into the campground with their new line of SkyRise roof top tents. The SkyRise will be available in two sizes: the Yakima SkyRise Small will sleep up to 2 adults and the Yakima SkyRise Medium will sleep up to 3 adults. Roof top tents have been popular for years and years in desert climates and are now becoming more popular in North America because of their convenience, portability, and ease of set up. Of course, they also allow you to sleep well above the cold, wet ground away from bugs, small animals, and bears.

Lightweight yet durable

The SkyRise is constructed of RipStop 210D nylon to make it lighter than canvas. Many competing roof top tents are heavier than your vehicle's roof rack weight limit. At a weight of 75 lbs, the SkyRise Medium is up to 50 lbs lighter than competing tents. Combined with Yakima's vehicle specific fit data, this ensures a safer and more fuel friendly user experience.

Quick to install and set up

Unlike competing tents that require you to tighten bolts or drill, the SkyRise uses a tools-free installation system. Yakima's decades of consumer goods experience mean you will have a less frustrating time when it counts most. Once on the vehicle the SkyRise sets up in only one minute. Simply remove the waterproof cover, unfold the tent, and pull down the attached ladder. When you're done, you're up in the air instead of stuck on the cold, wet ground!

Locks to your roof rack

The SkyRise includes 4 SKS lock cores and 2 matching keys to secure the SkyRise to your base rack by locking the universal attachment hardware. This prevents theft of the tent and its keys can be matched to your Yakima base roof rack or other Yakima accessories you own.
