Yakima BackRoad - 4 Bike Rack - Fits 2" and 1.25" Hitches

The Yakima BackRoad 4 is a four bike hanging style hitch mounted bike rack. The BackRoad utilizes an integrated folding mechanism that allows you to tilt the bike rack away from your vehicle giving you access to your rear hatch without needing to remove the bike rack. When the bike rack is not in use you can fold the arms down making the rack more compact. An integrate SKS locking cable lock is included to lock your bikes onto the rack giving you some peace of mind on your travels.

Improved bike protection on a hanging style rack

With the increased bike spacing of 7 inches between your bikes, the BackRoad makes it easy to pack more bikes with a lot less hassle. The cradles and pads provide a snug and protected fit, while the fully removable ZipStrips make loading your bike a breeze as there is nothing in the way. These two features are used to hold your bike in place and limit the amount of sway back and forth in the bikes.

Fits both 2" and 1.25" hitch receivers

The Yakima BackRoad 4 can be mounted onto 2" hitch right out of the box, however if you only have a 1.25" hitch you can remove the attached adapter and the rack can be mounted into your 1.25" receiver. Once in your hitch use the included threaded hitch pin to secure the bike rack into your hitch receiver.
