New Thule 9032 EasyFold - Perfect for carrying Electric Bikes

This spring the new Thule 9032 EasyFold bike rack will be arriving at our two Edmonton store locations and on RacksForCars.com.

The Easy Fold is Thule’s first bike rack dedicated to carrying electric bikes or e-bikes for short, but can also carry virtually any other bike, even downhill mountain bikes with long wheel bases.

Although the market for electric bikes is niche it is also quickly growing. In an article by Smart Planet they noted that in 2012, 89,000 E-bikes will be sold but that number is set to grow to 265,000 by 2018. Worldwide 47 million E-bikes are expected to be sold by 2018

In Canada, we have also seen more and more E-Bikes on the streets being used for getting to and from work or just a ride around the neighbourhood. As electric bikes rise in popularity so will the demand to take them along on camping trips and vacations. Thule has introduced the 9032 Easy Fold E-Bike Rack just in time!

Perfect for E-bikes

The Thule 9032 Easy Fold is capable of carrying up to two 66 pound E-Bikes on either a 1.25” or 2” hitch receiver but can also carry virtually any other bike. The Easy Fold features an easy to load tray mount system with arms that attach to the crossbar of each bike for a strong hold.

Folds when not in use

The 9032 Easy Fold nicely folds up when it is not in use so that it does not take up as much space behind your vehicle or in your garage. It also has built in carrying handles at the top of the rack for easy transport from your garage to your vehicle.

Detachable loading ramp and easy attachment arms

The 9032 features a detachable loading ramp for easy loading of your electric bike or for heavier mountain bikes. Once the bike is in place on the platform you use the clamp down arms to secure your bikes frame. The outside knob will then lock securing your bikes onto the rack and preventing theft. 

Easy to use wheel straps and secure bike attachment keeps your bike in place

The 9032 Easy Fold has easy to use wheel straps and pump handles to ensure your bikes wheels are tightened down properly and will not jump out of the rack while the secure handles tighten your frame to the bike rack.
