Yakima Cap Nut

Yakima Cap Nut Hardware is used when installed Yakima tracks onto surfaces with underside access such as a fibreglass canopy. The Cap Nut is a strong plastic housing which contains a lock nut used to secure Yakima tracks to your surface of choice when combined with the appropriate length bolt hardware, sold separately.

Using Cap Nut Hardware creates a cleaner look on the underside of your surface and prevents the end of your bolts from hanging down past the nut. This is especially important on the inside of a canopy so that you do not catch your head on a bolt and cause some serious pain!

Yakima Cap Nut Hardware is sold individually so you can choose the exact number which you require. When installing tracks we normally use 6-8 per side depending on the application.
