Yakima WheelHouse Front Wheel Holder

The Yakima WheelHouse universal front tire wheel holder is used to carry the front wheel of your bike on your roof rack when your bike is being carried in a fork mount bike rack. The Yakima WheelHouse utilizes the SpinVice Clamps to fit on nearly any crossbar on the market including Yakima, Thule, Whispbar, and most factory installed crossbar systems. The WheelHouse is compatible with wheel sizes up to 29" in diameter and up to 3" in width.

Double retention system

The WheelHouse features a double retention system which holds your wheel by the axle and also by the rim. A single ZipStrip is also used to keep your wheel from spinning while travelling.

Folds down when not in use

Once you have removed your wheel from the WheelHouse you can fold the carrier down so that it does not stick up as high when not in use.

Universal mounting hardware

The WheelHouse uses SpinVice clamps to attach to nearly any crossbar option including Yakima RoundBars, Thule square bars, aero style bars, and most factory installed crossbars.

Thru-Axle Skewer Adapter available

Out of the box the WheelHouse will accept standard 9mm QR tires with hub sizes from 100-110mm wide. If you have a bike with a thru-axle you can purchase the Yakima WheelHouse Thru-Axle Adapter which will fit 12-15mm thru-axles and 100-110mm hub widths.

Locks available

The Yakima WheelHouse can be locked to your vehicles roof rack using a single SKS lock core. Yakima lock cores are available in 2-Packs, 4-Packs, 6-Packs, 8-Packs, 10-Packs, and 12-Packs. You could also purchase lock cores individually if you are already have Yakima locks and keys and would like just one lock core.
