The DK Fit Kit includes a set of 4 rubber pads which attach to the base of the roof rack legs. It also includes custom shaped clips or fixed point mounting hardware depending on what your vehicle requires for attachment. Mounting instructions for your vehicle will be provided.
To properly attach a Rhino-Rack roof rack to your vehicle you will require a Leg Kit such as the RLKVA, a pair of Rhino-Rack Bars, and a DK Fitting Kit. First up, I purchased this with a bit of concern, the fitment comes up for the Nissan Titan on the Rhino site, but the instructions only mention the Titan XD. Knowing that there are a lot of shared components between the Titan and the XD, I was hopeful. Luckily it is a perfect.
I was very impressed with the quality and fitment of the pads and brackets. I have struggled a bit with fitment on past Thule brand kits, but this one really does fit the contours well and has some well thought out features. One thing that is missing from the instructions is whether the bracket goes under or over the weatherstrip. I found it did not fit well under, so installed over top and the rack seems very stable. It has been on through a couple of rain storms now, and the compressed strip does not appear to be allowing any leaks. I will have to see how the strip wears longer range however.
Overall happy with the entire system, and glad that Rhino has a fitment for the Titan; currently the only major manufacturer to do so (the current 2nd gen Titan truck has been on the market for 3 years now).
