The Pivot XD is not just a swing away accessory for bike racks, it's also designed to be accessorized with a molle hoop and spare tire mount.

Compatibility

Minimum Class III hitch required. Keep in mind that carrying weight further from the hitch will increase the weight tension on your vehicle’s hitch. The Pivot XD is not rated for use on RVs, trailers, motorhomes or towing.

Kuat racks are limited to 3 bikes (maximum 250 lbs), and all other bike racks or cargo systems should follow the distance-to-weight guidelines:

• Up to 28" (from the accessory’s hitch-pin hole to the furthest point): 350 lbs max total weight
  
• 28–40" (from the accessory’s hitch-pin hole to the furthest point): 250 lbs max total weight

*Loads within the 40" limit may exceed some Class III receiver ratings — check your vehicle or hitch manufacturer for exact tongue-weight details.

The farther the weight is from the hitch, the more torque is applied, which limits how much weight or how many bikes can be safely carried.
