Kuat Pivot XD Driver Side Swing Away Adapter

The Kuat Pivot XD Driver Side is a heavy-duty swing-away hitch designed to provide convenient access to your vehicle’s rear cargo area without removing your bike rack or cargo carrier. With a maximum on-road capacity of 350 lbs. and a rugged construction, the Pivot XD is built to handle demanding loads and outdoor adventures. Its smooth pivoting mechanism offers 90° and 120° swing positions, allowing you to move your gear out of the way to access your tailgate or rear doors.

Engineered for strength, stability, and ease of use, the Pivot XD features a forged latch, a custom-machined safety pin, and Kuat’s patented Flatlock™ Hitch Cam system for a secure connection. The conical ball-bearing pivot ensures smooth operation, while the included locking hitch pin adds security. Compatible with a wide range of Kuat hitch racks and other cargo systems, the Pivot XD can also be paired with optional accessories, including the Accessory Hoop with MOLLE Panel and Spare Tire Adapter.

Compatibility

A minimum Class III 2" hitch is required. Keep in mind that carrying weight farther from the hitch increases the leverage and stress applied to your vehicle’s hitch. The Pivot XD is not rated for use on RVs, trailers, motorhomes, or for towing.

Capacity

The Pivot XD has a maximum weight capacity of 350 lbs. for on-road use and 250 lbs. for off-road use. Capacity limits depend on the distance between the hitch-pin hole and the furthest point of the mounted accessory.

Kuat bike racks are limited to a maximum of 3 bikes and 250 lbs. Vertical hanging bike racks are approved for up to 4 bikes, with a maximum weight of 150 lbs., excluding the weight of the rack. Loads within the 40" limit may exceed some Class III receiver ratings. Driver Side Swing-Away Hitch

This version of the Pivot XD is designed to swing toward the driver’s side of the vehicle, providing convenient access to the rear cargo area while keeping your mounted rack or gear attached.
